Built on the success of last summer’s Decipher 1.0, which included The Clayton Brothers, Doze Green, Camille Rose Garcia, Gary Baseman, Jeff Soto and many more, Decipher 2.0 boasts a similarly star-studded marquee. Curated by New York based painter JUSTINK, the show features some of the biggest and most promising names in Urban, Street Art and Illustration. From graffiti artists to prolific illustrators and designers to ground-breaking fine artists, the 14 artists displayed this year share common ground by pulling influence from pop culture and urban life and have emerged from an underground scene by pioneering new art markets and thriving on the fanaticism of a young generation of art consumers. Decipher celebrates the diversity of styles and mediums that these artists have chosen to utilize and focuses on their interpretation of the visual chaos and commercialism that drowns our landscape. The artists are parodying social iconography, filtering out the mundane and conjuring the beauty to breed imaginative graphic worlds. In effect they are deciphering their vision on canvas for the audience to absorb.
